Summary and Responsibilities:

As a Sanitation Area Lead, you are responsible for the ensuring all daily cleaning activities of the facility and equipment are in compliance with regulatory, food safety and environmental laws are met and complies with safety, food safety and continuous improvement programs to ensure the facility is maintained at audit level of cleanliness. Cedar’s Quality of the product is held to the highest level, and a sanitary work environment is essential for ensuring a quality product is delivered to customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITES:

Monitor, train, observe, and operate computers and graphs to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment according to the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures outlined by Cedar’s.
Monitor, observe and leads employees to Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and upkeep of production equipment and production areas in accordance with Cedar’s Foods and regulatory agency quality for food safety standards.
Efficiently disassembles and assembles production equipment for proper cleaning, adheres to all GMP guidelines in the performance of job.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships across all shifts of the department.
Monitor, observe, and operate computers and graphs to control proper.
Operate and train on CIP and COP systems to clean processing equipment and keep records of process completed.
Monitoring, documenting, and executing CIP processes for in-spec time, temperature, flow, function, and chemical concentration. Efficiently coordinating washes to ensure that CIP downtime is minimized.
Inspecting tanks, fillers, conveyors, scales, processing equipment and lines for visible foreign material, CIP residue, or any physical conditional that would hinder the ability to produce safe quality food.
Maintaining and monitoring legal chart documentation and trending systems regarding CIP conditions.
Communicating any food safety, product quality, or processing related issues with QA and plant management.
Ensure all personal GMPs and PPE is followed.
Documentation of all lot information for all batching ingredients and inventory of all products produced for a production day.
Assist in start -up of the lines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES:

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to troubleshoot issues when they arise.
Work with computer PLCs and recording charts.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and have a sense of urgency when needed.
Reliability – begin work on time and conform to work hours and schedule.
Able to work and lead a team in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of processing system and have basic mechanical experience.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs. and obtain or possess a, forklift, and pallet jack license.
Must be able to push/pull up to 75 lbs. for mechanical connection requirements.

Scope of Position:

This position is Sunday - Friday, 1030PM to 700AM. Some Flexibility for Weekends and extended hours is sometimes required.
