Accounting Specialist III

The Accounting Specialist III performs a variety of senior level accounting tasks pertaining to accounts payables, accounts receivables, store accounting, and/or treasury/banking.

General Responsibilities:

• Focuses on one of the following areas: accounts payable, account receivables, store accounting, and/or treasury/banking functions.
• Assists Accounting Specialist I and II with workload organization.
• Works with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and payments are received in a timely manner.
• Investigates and resolves issues by reviewing historical transactions and assists Supervisor in resolving escalated issues.
• Assists with providing documentation for audits.
• Ensures accuracy of accounting data prior to processing.
• Performs small to medium-sized projects as assigned by Supervisor or Assistant Controller.
• Assists Supervisor and/or Assistant Controller with updating and documenting department processes and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with general accounting procedures.
• Additional duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:
3-4 years clerical experience in one of the following areas: accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, or general accounting, must have advanced skills in MS Office Suite and various accounting systems, possess strong customer service and problem-solving skills, must have recent project management experience, and strong attention to detail skills are a must.
