Summary of the position:

The primary role of this position is to serve as a Level 3 advanced engineer and service manager for the enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. The position requires broad IT technology experience with the technical specialties of software and hardware storage solutions like NetApp, Dell or HPE storages, tape libraries, Veeam Backup and Replication and other storage and backup related technology.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement storage & backup architecture aligned with business continuity strategies, incl. disaster recovery
Full lifecycle service management (design, transition, operation, continuous improvement) for both storage and backup environment
Service operation oversight: monitoring/events, incidents, problems, and escalations
Maintains system access and security to safeguard company data
Provide technical direction and guidance and provide documentation to other IT teams, especially Level 2 Operations team, who act as technical support and maintenance of business task

Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Project contributor to other IT projects where storage (data hosting) and backup infrastructure changes may be needed
Collaborate with other IT technical teams to ensure continuity of services, issue resolution, and integrated solutions
Develops and maintains relationships with technology vendors
Provide detail documentation and procedures for all solutions
Service delivery that also focuses on Metrics, Performance, Capacity, and Availability management
