Copy Editor-Advanced (Hybrid)

Location: Washington, Washington, D.C. or New York, New YorkJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $58 - 64 per hourCella has partnered with a prestigious financial institution in their quest for a Copy Editor to join their Research, Policy & Insights team on a part-time, ongoing contract basis!​​​​​​​As a consultant, you will play a pivotal role in content creation, editing, and production by translating complex economic data into accessible content. Reporting to the Head of the Insights & Impact team, you will collaborate across departments and with external design partners to ensure content quality and consistency.The ideal candidate will be located in the NY or DC area and open to occasional onsite work. This exciting opportunity entails working with a renowned company for potentially a year or longer. ​​​​​​​Responsibilities: Create engaging content such as briefs, blog-style articles, papers, and newsletters in alignment with the company’s mission. Utilize raw materials and examples to craft targeted content for various stakeholders. Assist in copy editing research reports and policy briefs to ensure accuracy and clarity. Conduct stylistic reviews to maintain a cohesive voice across all content. Develop and update content style guides to uphold quality standards. Qualifications: Experience level: Experienced Education: Bachelors 6 years of experience as a copywriter/editor within research institutions, think tanks, public policy groups, or similar organizations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in project management with the ability to handle dynamic timelines and competing priorities. Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure.
