X Designer. This opportunity is a long-term contract (1 year) (MUST BE EAST COAST TIME ZONE). The UX Designer is responsible for creating experiences our customers love for various digital products and marketing experiences. As a UX designer, you’ll define, design, and test UX solutions implemented across digital platforms. You will work in a cross-functional team alongside a Visual designer, UX Writers, and Creatives with collective responsibility for the creative components of owned digital channels, led by a digital marketing manager.
As part of your role, you will uncover user needs through research and testing, develop actionable insights based on those findings, and define and document how users will interact most effectively with these new experiences. Of course, you’ll have deep UI experience, ideally in mobile, digital, and retail settings and the creation and maintenance of Design Systems. You’re a strong conceptual thinker and a hands-on contributor who can drive a project from start to finish. A team player that connects the different disciplines and knows how to move forward design best practices to achieve business goals.
UX Designer Main Tasks/Job Responsibilities:
- Define intuitive experiences that deliver on the business goals and objectives and connect with users to understand their behavior when interacting with those experiences.
- Apply research and customer insight methods to deeply understand our customers’ wants and needs.
- Lead and facilitate workshops to align different stakeholders and help the different teams collaborate, get timely input and feedback that improves the quality of the designs.
- Execution of user testing that helps validate and refine concepts. Creating interactive prototypes and other artifacts that help gather insights for improvement.
- Help develop the UX design practice within Bose, taking a proactive approach into process improvement and advocating for the user.
- 5-7 years of UX/Interaction experience
- Deep knowledge of driving and applying user-centered design practices, and the creation of artifacts like User Journey Maps, Competitive analysis reports, Sitemaps, Personas, Wireframes and prototypes, knowing when to apply the best methods for the challenge at hand.
- Extensive experience with conceptualizing multiple initiatives from start to finish, in alignment with clear design and business objectives in an Agile setting.
- Proficient in designing, conducting, and synthesizing user research across various methodologies. Using data to inform design, understand the platform’s performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to convey complex concepts and other information in a clear, concise, and compelling way.
- Proficient with Adobe XD, Figma, Principle, In Vision, or comparable applications
