What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Accountant position at Cellebrite?
Cellebrite is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to support a high-performing local Finance Team. The Junior Accountant role will support the team in the area of Accounts Payables, Accruals, and other areas related to general accounting.

- Help complete daily accounting activities, the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and supporting work papers for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Review invoices sent by suppliers and validate activity is coded correctly to the general ledger.
- Ensure all are received in a timely fashion
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
- Ensure vendors are paid properly and timely
- Review employee expense submissions through Expensify to ensure they are in accordance with company policy. Submit for reimbursement upon receipt of internal approvals.
- Perform monthly/quarterly variance analysis and transaction reviews including researching, questioning, and resolving items that are over-budget or appear to be improper for AP/ Accruals/ Inventory accounts.
- Prepare summarized variance explanations.
- Prepare and record Journal Entries for accruals and intercompany accounts
- Maintain excel spreadsheets for significant expenses
- Maintain proper communication with other subsidiaries/headquarters to ensure all intercompany transactions are properly captured.
- Implement and maintain proper 1099 process Provide support for annual external financial audits /Quarterly SOX audit, including the preparation of audit schedules
- Ensures data integrity by identifying errors/trends in accounting data to improve accuracy, timeliness, and the general flow of accounting data.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP principles
- Other ad hoc projects
Requirements
- BA in Accounting (or equivalent); knowledgeable in US GAAP Strong analytical mindset and capabilities: you’re able to step back, address the issue at hand, and, think independently to achieve objectives and resolve issues
- A high degree of focus on quality and accuracy
- Large appetite to learn, grow and develop skills: you have a desire to be involved in projects or roles that are outside of their typical “day job”
- An entrepreneurial mindset; you have experience with “best practices” in similar accounting or finance rolesTechnical skills: strong Excel skills, and, an affinity to sophisticated software packages such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and other Business Intelligence-related tools.
