Job Posting for Safety Director at Cement Recruiter

Reporting to the Division VP HR; This position will be responsible for strategic development and leadership of the organization’s Safety and Health (SH) programs and initiatives for the East Division. The role will direct and coordinate SH activities to ensure alignment with company directives and programs and compliance with, safety and health laws and regulations.  The position will provide leadership and guidance to the Safety and Health Managers in strong and effective collaboration with operational leaders and the East Division leadership team. 
  • 3 Direct Reports
  • 40% Mining locations / 60% office setting 
  • Position requires long hours, weekend work, Holidays, Emergencies

Requirements: 
MSHA, OSHA, FMSCA (DOT), NRC, FRA  - experience
BS Occupational Safety, Health or related field
10 years of experience, including 4 at management level 
Experience in mining, construction or similar industrial environment
CMSP, CSP, OHST
Budgeting
