Job Summary
To execute and monitor internal transfers and outbound deliveries to internal and external customers ensuring on-time performance and maximum usage of resources. Will work with Terminal Managers and Logistics Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities
- Scheduling and dispatching cement & fly ash deliveries and transfers
- Maximizing resources utilization giving priority to the dedicated fleet
- Ensuring on-time delivery performance and meeting customer specifications and expectations
- Calibrates loading and transportation capacity in Demand Fulfillment tool
- Resolves contingencies in operation in order to meet delivery commitments
- Updates order status in Demand Fulfillment tool
- Attends and actively participates in employee communication meetings
- Train other employees as needed
- Performs all work as assigned by supervisor
- Comply with all company policies and rules including safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or minimum 2 years of experience in logistics (dispatching).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work flexible hours under deadline pressure
- Strong communications and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and general PC experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred
- Experience in trucking or transportation
- Some SAP experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of O.S.H.A rules and regulations
Working Conditions
- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
- Must wear protective equipment while at the location
Physical Requirements
- Able to physically perform the essential functions
- Able to work different shifts, work hours in excess of 8 per day; 40 per week, holidays and weekends as needed
