The primary area of responsibility is of quality acceptance testing and monitoring of historical financial research data and related processes, and software products. This position will work closely with and assist Director, Quality Assurance in coordinating necessary testing efforts with various groups at CRSP. This person will manage and maintain CRSP monthly product testing process to ensure the high quality of CRSP products. The Quality Assurance Analyst should be an exceptionally organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level with respect to accuracy and efficiency.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and update CRSP product testing scripts. Execute and oversee the monthly CRSP production testing process to ensure the high quality and timeliness of product release.
Actively engage in the design of tests for internal processes and CRSP historical products in all testing environments based on business requirements and financial data needs.
Assist in the design of tests for internal processes in all QA environments.
Participate in the design and implementation of regression tests for CRSP data access tools.
Log, isolate, and document actions to replicate any issues or bugs discovered during testing.
Effectively troubleshoot problems reported both internally and by subscribers, and report clearly and accurately to appropriate parties.
Assist in the review, recommendation and implementation of test strategies and plans.
Have a good understanding of financial data and business requirements. Be able to evaluate, document, and test software to verify functionality and performance according to specifications and requirements.
Execute and maintain automated testing suites as appropriate.
Engage with the project team to understand requirements and contribute to project definition
Collaborate and work effectively with PMs, developers, Business Analysts, QAs, and other stakeholders to strike the balance between ideal testing and available resources, and establishing long-term quality targets.
Present effectively to superiors in areas of responsibility (ie. Progress reports).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance or Economics or Data Science preferred.
At least 1 years of QA or relevant experience required and that work experience must include work with financial and statistical data.
Exposure to PowerShell scripts and other scripting languages required.
Working experience of SQL required.
Working knowledge of statistical software packages - SAS, R or other 3rd party software preferred.
Experience with code management applications preferred.
Experience with automated testing software preferred.
Working knowledge of financial research and investment concepts and terminology preferred.
Experience working with large financial data sets preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Attention to detail, strong problem solving and organizational skills required
Strong organization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities required.
