Job Purpose
This role is responsible for translating the strategic roadmap for one of the many products in our suite of solutions into tactical activities, that are then executed to fulfill the product vision, through direct user story development, and collaboration across engineering and cross-functional communication across the broader organization.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Craft high-quality, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Translate this work to visuals and software delivery in partnership with UX and engineering, respectively.
- Act as the voice of the customer, which will usually mean working directly with customers in refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and visuals in order to meet customer expectations.
- Groom and prioritize maintenance escalations in partnership with customer support and engineering.
- Attend all agile meetings— scrum, grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives, answering developer's questions as the customer/user representative. Optimize meeting contents and facilitation as needed to achieve objectives.
- Work in tandem with QA to ensure all acceptance criteria have been satisfied and user stories achieved.
- Work with other Product Owners to ensure dependencies are prioritized appropriately across teams.
- Work directly with Product Management and business owners to identify product needs for roadmap consideration
- Work with the Product Manager on release planning and supporting processes, including training and communication to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Assist with user acceptance testing or beta testing with customers for specific features as needed
- Demonstrate Cendyn products, with specific focus on new feature and required knowledge transfer, to various internal teams as needed
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the relevant product domains.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Serve as right-hand for Product Manager
- Assist in competitive analysis, as appropriate
- Conduct discovery and scoping interviews with prospects and customers, as appropriate
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- 2 years of relevant Business Analyst, Product Management, Engineering, or Product Coordinator experience in a product development environment
- Experience with Agile backlog management tools, such as JIRA, Target Process, Confluence, VersionOne, or comparable
- Excellent Organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong skills in critical thinking, analysis, and creativity.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with UX resources to complete wire-frames/mock-ups with tools such as Visio, Figma, Balsamiq, etc.
- Experience writing business requirement documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- A strong desire to advance your career within the Cendyn organization career pathing model.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or a combination of education and experience
- Usability testing experience preferred
Expected Competencies:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences_
- This job operates in an office environment Working in an office environment requires a high degree of discipline and the ability to work with others in a moderately noisy open office environment with centrally controlled head/AC setting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position will require an overlap with US and European time zones for ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in hybrid mode and will require at least 1-2 days’ work from office.
