Job Summary:
Responsible for transporting clients to and from clinic appointments and outings in a timely manner.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Safety and efficiently operate a passenger van.
- Responsible for the timely pickups, drop offs and appointments/errands, of transporting clients.
- Keep interior of vehicle neat and orderly.
- Ensures vehicle is adequately maintained and fueled and monitors vehicle condition.
- Maintains courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assists passengers in boarding and exiting vehicle if needed.
- Provide a safe and comfortable environment for study participants.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- 1 to 2 years related work experience.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
Working Conditions
- Indoor, Clinic environment.
- Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, walking.
- Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
