Inventory Specialist

Reports To: Director Of Warehouse Operations

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey  

Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, with extra hours till 5 p.m. with approval from management. There’s a 30-minute lunch break at 12 noon and two 15-minute breaks at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

Wage: Starting at $16 - Temp to permanent only with good performance & attendance after 90 days.    

Role Description  

Cenmed Enterprises, established in 1992, has grown from a small two-person operation to one of the largest privately held laboratory distributors in the New York Tri-State area. You represent over 2000 manufacturers and directly sell all major medical and laboratory equipment. As a general warehouse associate, you will work on receiving, unloading, and loading inventory and pick/pack order fulfillment. As a Cenmed receiving associate, you will be responsible for general duties involving physically handling products, materials, supplies, and equipment. General laborers assist in providing support to other warehouse roles as needed, including delivering warehouse, production, and service support. 

What You'll Do  

This role is critical to managing and tracking products, an essential part of warehouse operations. 

• The receiver handles products received inside the warehouse and ensures the products are sorted, stocked, or cross-docked accurately and efficiently.
• Perform QA/QC on shipments before receiving.
• They ensure Cenmed's inventory records are received accurately and maintain proper documentation of inventory movements in the WMS/ERP.
• Reports all discrepancies to warehouse leadership promptly.
• Receives all shipments within 24 hours of arrival.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with 6S standards.
• Practices Total Quality Management in that any direct or indirect activity/knowledge that would adversely impact our products' quality, cost, or schedule performance must be dealt with conclusively and timely.
• Regular and predictable attendance, safe task performance, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.

What You'll Bring to The Table   

• 3-5 years of warehouse experience in wholesale/retail distribution or equivalent.      
• Understanding of warehousing and inventory management processes.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
• Excellent number skills and analytical mindset. 
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
