Cennox is currently seeking a Commercial Service Technician based in Jacksonville, FL who will be responsible for determining problems and making the necessary repairs for alarm systems within commercial facilities in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. This full-time position offers a company vehicle, flexible schedule, travel opportunities, paid training, and the chance to become part of a rapidly growing company.
Skills Required:
- Must have a background in the alarm industry and have worked as a service tech for 3 plus years.
- Must have a wide knowledge of different alarm equipment. Example: Of some equipment " Honeywell, Bosch, DMP, fire-lite, Silent Knight, Gamewell, Focus"
- Must be able to work from a ladders and lifts
- Must be able to work 8 hrs. a day M-F. Some overtime may be required
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Smart-phone familiarity and technologically savvy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with mapping and routing applications such as MapPoint or Google Maps
- Have a mechanical/technological/electrical aptitude
- Ability to interpret written instructions and documents such as blueprints and schematic drawings
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service
- Valid driver's license with driving record in Good Standing
Experience and Education:
- Certified State Alarm technician.
- Some Technical School training, highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move 50 or more pounds, stand, climb, bend, stoop, and reach freely
- Ability to work both indoors and outside in all-weather and sit/drive for extensive daily travel
- Must have good hand/eye coordination and sharp eyesight
