Assistant Coach
The Centennial High School Girls Lacrosse Club is looking for an energetic and positive individual to hire as the Assistant Coach for the Spring 2024 lacrosse season.
The assistant coach will assist the Head Coach with coaching athletes at practices, games, and tournaments. This position will be responsible for assisting with running drills at practice, overseeing the team’s development, and communicating with players, parents, and board members. Practice plans and teaching methods will be provided for practices.
Lacrosse knowledge is preferred, but not required. Practice is typically held from 4:00 - 6:00 Monday - Thursday. Most games are either on Tuesday or Thursday nights with the exception of one on a Sunday. The above may be changed if a game needs to be rescheduled or the team needs extra practice.
Responsibilities:
- Attend practices, games, and tournaments as the assistant lacrosse coach.
- Model good sportsmanship behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards athletes, officials, and spectators.
- Help create a positive environment and encourage developing athletes.
- Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
- Follow direction of the head coach and club board.
Qualifications:
- high school diploma or it’s equivalent
- experience in playing or coaching a team sport
- high energy and a great attitude
- ability to pass a background check
- reliable transportation
