Center Creek Homes, a dynamic residential development firm, is in search of a dedicated and energetic Design Manager to join our team. In this position, you will be an integral member of operations group, providing leadership and support for the design-related function of the company including: working side-by-side with consulting architects to create and compile construction drawing sets for permit and zoning/Committee of Architecture Review submission; create and publish design concepts and detailed specifications content for new homes; create marketing materials for upcoming projects; oversee the creation of interior and exterior home renderings; and produce markups of architectural plans for the construction team. The ideal candidate will be a high-level communicator with a strong sense of personal motivation, initiative, and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide interior and exterior design concepts for new homes based on market considerations, budget parameters, and supplier availability
- Publish finish specifications for new projects and manage project documents using our online builder project management software
- Work with vendors for sourcing new selections options and to obtain quotes on finish options such as flooring, cabinetry, counters, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and hardware
- Create conceptual landscape plans and site plan markups for construction
- Prepare and deliver design presentations to internal and external constituents
- Apply company design guidelines and standards to review architectural construction documents and provide markups related to trim, MEP systems, doors/windows, etc.
- Generate marketing materials such as look books and oversee the creation of marketing floor plans and interior/exterior renderings
- Work with consultants to design and implement staging for homes listed for sale
- Work with a limited amount of presale customers in a defined selections process
- Assist in the entitlement process regarding special use permits, subdivisions, Board of Zoning appeals approval, and Committee of Architecture Review
- Work with Preconstruction Manager to create and maintain preconstruction schedules and checklists our online builder project management software
- Create and maintain company process documentation regarding preconstruction activities and plan specifications
- Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, Graphic Design, and/or equivalent experience
- Exemplary skills in generating content for presentations, renderings, and selections palettes
- Proficient in graphics software (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Photoshop), 3-D modeling and rendering software (e.g. Revit, Enscape), and MS Office Suite
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Architectural drafting and entitlement experience a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility, and entrepreneurship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various types of stakeholders
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Builder Trend or other project management software a plus
