Dental Surgical Assistant

We are looking for a part-time experienced dental surgical assistant at our modern periodontic surgery center in Hyannis, MA on Cape Cod.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of full-time equivalent assisting experience in a periodontist, oral surgery and/or prosthodontic office (potentially could include experience with another implant & surgery heavy dental office) and a total of at least 5 years of experience in healthcare related roles.

The ideal candidate would be able to back up other roles in the office such as answering patient calls and checking in and out patients.

We are currently looking for 1-2 days per week at our Hyannis office but could entertain other schedules and/or locations (we have offices in Hyannis, Falmouth and New Bedford) for the right person.

Job Requirements

- Must have valid dental assistant and x-ray license; CDA, EFDA, and/or RDH licenses are a plus.

- Must have deep experience assisting with complex surgeries.

- Must be proficient at taking x-rays.

- Must be proficient in understanding dental terminology and able to draft chart notes (subject to provider approval) and letters (subject to provider approval) to general dentists and medical professionals describing the work that was performed.

- Ideally would be proficient at using a CBCT cat scan.

- Ideally would be proficient in using at least one brand of digital impression technology.

- Phlebotomy training / experience is a big plus.

- Must be very comfortable with technology in general.

- Preference for experience with Eaglesoft software

- Must be willing to fill in at our Falmouth and New Bedford offices as needed; appropriate schedule, mileage and travel pay will be provided.

- Must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and follow-up.

- Must have a valid driver's license.
