Financial Services Representative

The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services (CARS) is seeking a highly motivated Financial Services Representative (FSR)/Medical Biller who is dedicated to their work. About the Position

All CARS employees perform their respective functions to ensure the patient has the most positive experience at every point of contact with our practice. Your efforts in managing all insurance benefits, pre-authorizations, and authorizations for patients will help ensure patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their family-building journey.

Responsibilities include:

• Pre-certify all the services that are scheduled for the team physician.
• Discuss the patient's financial responsibility for the services provided.
• Schedule surgeries.
• Charge entry and posting payments.
• Monitor the accounts and follow up with patients to ensure that outstanding co-payments, balances, co-insurance, etc., are paid.
  • Resolve any patient inquiries related to their accounts and insurance-related matters.

Qualifications

Education: A high school diploma is required; however, an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience: One to two years of specialized experience in healthcare insurance and customer service within a medical provider setting is required.

Skills:

• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service backed by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding is required. Billing and coding certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
