About Us

Center for Continuous Improvement, Inc. (CCI) is a non-profit organization providing residential supports to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Oregon since 1993. Our mission is to assure the provision of resident care while supporting individuals in exercising personal choice, as well as, achieving equality, dignity, opportunity and inclusion in the community.

We are seeking dependable, compassionate, creative, energetic, self-motivated direct caregivers with a strong work ethic that are looking to make a difference in the lives of youth and adults with developmental disabilities.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing a positive and fun environment
  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting with home skills, such as preparing meals, housekeeping, and laundry
  • Medication administration
  • Monitoring health and ensuring safety
  • Supporting positive behaviors
  • Maintaining records and data entries

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (Per OAR 411-323-0050 (7)(a))
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Must have reliable transportation to group home and trainings at the Portland admin office
  • Impeccable attendance
  • Must have some weekend availability
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as mandated in the state of Oregon (a booster is not required to be considered fully vaccinated)

Details:

  • Pay begins at $19.00/hr, with $0.25 raise after 6 months (and positive performance review), $0.20 raise after 1 year and an additional $0.50 for qualified drivers
  • $1,000 Sign-On bonus for new hires after 6 months of employment with CCI, with exemplary attendance/performance and timely training completion
  • Full-time (day on weekends; swing and graveyard shifts available) must have schedule availability and flexibility
  • Overtime typically available!

  • Provided paid training, including Oregon Intervention System (OIS), CPR & First Aid, Medication Administration, and more! (Note: Training takes place at our Portland Administration Office)

Availability:

  • Cover letter must include days and shifts you are available to work. Preference is given to applicants who are able to work weekends, swing and grave shifts.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
To ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff, CCI provides facial coverings/masks as well as gloves and hand sanitizer. All training class sizes are kept as small and socially distanced as possible. Vaccination against Covid-19 is required.
