On a daily basis, the Job Coach is expected to provide an individual with the supports he or she needs to successfully maintain employment. These supports may include verbal prompts, creation of checklists, assisting in the completion of paperwork, breaking down tasks, brainstorming accommodations, etc.
This is a position staffed at various work sites in the areas where we provide support in the workplace. Work location and hours will vary as it is based on of the work schedule of the individual being supported. Time management skills and flexibility will be key for success in this position.
- Build rapport with individuals but also with management, supervisors, and coworkers at employment sites.
- Teach skills necessary for individuals to meet or exceed performance expectations.
- Establish and maintain employer relationships.
- Prepare analysis of work environment, requirements, and specific job analysis.
- Assist individuals in understanding the value of their job.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities in vocational rehabilitation and/or training settings is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and without direct supervision and/or directives daily.
- Ability to apply Employment Services Department training methods on the job.
- Ability to receive constructive feedback from supervisor(s) and apply necessary actions.
- Good communication skills and computer knowledge.
- Problem solving skills and ability to effectively multi-task Ability to prioritize and plan in order to meet Employment Services Department timelines.

PAY RANGE: $16.73-$18.85/hr.
