The Center for People is a dynamic non-profit organization that provides innovative services and programs to the low-income community in Lincoln, Nebraska, addressing basic needs and providing opportunities to achieve economic independence for our clients. 


The Center has been fighting poverty in Lincoln, Nebraska since 2003. We are the Food Bank of Lincoln's largest partner, distributing food to more than 5,400 low-income families. We are also home to Lincoln's first Diaper Bank, established to meet the growing need for diapers in our community. Education is the key to helping low-income individuals obtain economic independence. As such, the Center developed educational and training programs to help people obtain employment with a living wage.


We are currently looking for an Organizational Growth Strategies Coordinator. This position is a full-time, 40 hour per week, onsite position. 


GENERAL FUNCTIONS


The Organizational Growth Strategies Coordinator is driven by innovation, revenue, mission, and processes. This person will use their analytical skills to evaluate organizational operations, including internal structure and business processes. Through their suggestions, they will enact methods to improve current systems and streamline operations to better support our mission and increase revenue. Additionally, the Organizational Growth Strategies Coordinator will be responsible for finding ways to foster and encourage cooperation between departments to ensure that teams are in alignment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


• Collaborate with the executive team and key stakeholders to document existing processes and workflows across the organization
• Design and implement standardized Standard Operating Procedures that streamline operations, increase efficiency, and ensure consistency in
practices
• Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures to reflect changes in regulations, organizational structure, or best practices
• Provide training and support to staff members to ensure understanding and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure that policies are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices
• Monitor and enforce adherence to policies through regular audits, reviews, and training programs
• Work closely with the executive team to develop long-term strategic plans and short-term tactical initiatives that align with the organization's mission and strategic objectives. To include, Financial Health & Stability, Program Optimization, and Tactical Communication Plan

• Identify new funding sources, partnership opportunities, and revenue-generating activities to support organizational growth

• Become a subject-matter expert on the de minimus indirect cost rate and provide instruction on how it can be applied to future grant requests
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify internal and external factors that may impact the organization's operations, reputation, or financial stability.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including policies, procedures, controls, and contingency plans
• Work directly with the executive team and executive board of directors to define, create, and regularly test a Center for People business continuity plan
• Become an industry leader by earning national accreditation
• Foster strong working relationships with the executive team, program managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance and growth initiatives
• Act as a liaison between the compliance function and other departments, providing guidance, support, and expertise as needed
• Support strategic leadership in response to affirming organizational goals
• Operate following all contracts, government regulations, and Center for People policies and procedures
• Exhibit high integrity and ability to set and maintain ethical professional boundaries
• Maintain a flexible work schedule to ensure organizational needs are being met, including occasional evenings and weekends to support Center for People coordinated events
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to address small and large groups in the course of program operations and community outreach


DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE


Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Organizational Development, or related field preferred OR a minimum of 4 years of work experience in an organizational growth strategies role. Multilingual is a plus.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


● Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent required
● Valid Nebraska driver’s license and current motor vehicle insurance
● Must be legally authorized to work inside the United States
