Freelance Strategy Support
We need to replenish our 1099 freelancer pool to resource when needed. This is a freelance, 1099 contract position, not a full-time role. Work hours are project-based and will fluctuate depending on client needs.

What you’ll be doing
As a Strategy Freelancer, your primary responsibility is to support the Strategy Director by conducting supplementary research for client work and projects, SEO tracking and reporting, conducting and synthesizing insights from subject matter expert interviews, and building messaging, content strategy, and UX strategy presentations.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Translating clients' business objectives into strategies, messaging frameworks and content deliverables. Then, you will confidently explain how those strategies will pull our clients’ customers through the buyer's journey.
- Creating end-to-end digital content programs — from planning to creation to measurement.
- Planning and conducting open-ended work sessions with clients, stakeholder interviews, and customer research.
- Shaping insights based on primary and secondary research and data analytics (web, social, etc.) to analyze behavior, values, and needs; making recommendations based on insights.
- Partnering with cross-disciplinary strategic teams — of UX, social and content strategists — to implement marketing solutions.
- Partnering with Project Managers, Creative Directors, and others to proactively identify opportunities for clients to implement a more strategic marketing methodology and reframe strategic problems in conjunction with clients to achieve greater marketing success.
- Supporting research for client work.
Qualifications/Info:
- 4 years of work experience, with 2 years of direct project and/or client management experience delivering a variety of creative assets in a deadline-driven environment.
- Agency and/or creative services experience is required.
- B2B experience preferred.
- Experience producing many types of digital marketing deliverables – experience with video and web/interactive experiences is a bonus.
- Experience planning, managing, and reporting on paid media is a plus.
- Experience using project management software – Workamajig is a plus.
- Ability to understand and execute against project scopes with budget and timeline requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in a related field.
