What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Aide IV position at Centerpoint Energy?
CenterPoint Energy is looking for Survey Aide IV to join our Surveying and Right of Way Field Operations Team, located in Houston, TX.
You will have the ability to: serve as a survey crew member supporting and performing a wide variety of survey functions to determine the precise location of property boundaries and CNP facilities with the measurement of lines, area, contours, elevations, angles and points for a variety of purposes. Assists with recording and compiling data, notes and sketches to describe field work performed.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Works closely with the Party Chief to observe, review, and evaluate each job for safety, expectations, solutions, and problem solving
- Directs other members of the Survey Team to expedite each project by determining equipment, procedures, and safety issues each day.
- Calculates survey positions using algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.
- Operates Global Positioning Systems, Total Stations, Automatic and Digital Levels, and Chaining Measurements.
- Determines data accuracy, anomalies, and corrections.
- Transfers data through numerous electronic mediums.
- Cares and maintains survey vehicle and equipment including daily cleaning and adjustment.
- Drives survey vehicle to and from job sites.
Your background includes:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED
- Requires two (2) years of experience on a survey crew, observing and recording all types of measurements with total stations, sub-surface locating devices, global positioning devices and standard surveying equipment.
A bonus to have:
