7am-4:30pm, 4 shifts per week. On call requirement one weeknight per week and every 3rd or 4th weekend.

The Endoscopy Technician are part of the medical team that uses endoscopes to diagnose or treat gastrointestinal problems. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the GI Tech assists before, during and after procedures by performing direct and indirect patient care that complies with hospital policies and the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will assist with preparing the procedure rooms with working knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique.
• You will assist with the room cleanup and sterilization after the procedure.
• You will assist the team during the Endoscopy procedures including but not limited to sample collection, dilation and polypectomy.
• You will maintain inventory for instruments used.
• You will function in the role of Patient Care Tech, Unit Clerk (HUC) or Transporter and stock supplies as needed.
• You may assist with the patient intake process.
• You will maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies for endoscopic procedures.
  
• You will ensure equipment functions properly and troubleshoot if there are issues.
  
• You will maintain endoscopic equipment, including cleaning, disinfecting and calibrating instruments according to manufacturer instruction
  
• You will transport patients as needed.
  
• You will assist physicians and nurses to perform endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to specimen collection, bleeding control and device placement
  
• You will attend training as necessary to enhance or refresh skills.
  
• You will collaborate effectively with other care providers regarding procedures and patient's conditions

Qualifications you will need:

• State Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Active
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Saving (BLS) – Active
• Prior experience as a nursing assistant or phlebotomy preferred.
  
• Prior endoscopy and surgical experience preferred.
• On Call Required- 1 weeknight per week and every 3rd or 4th weekend.
