REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Resolve issues that arise with agents, groups and carriers. Coordinate the departments’ workflow with that of other departments to assure timely and accurate processing. Monitor and enhance the performance of staff in the areas of productivity, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and employee development. Enhance the goal of being Customer Centric by focusing staff on improving customer satisfaction, communication skills, and technical ability. Lead, schedule, coordinate, and participate in daily work, meeting, and projects relevant to the team and department, and addresses daily issues that affect the team. Ensure continual improvement of the department’s efficiency and quality, supported by detailed reports and analysis. Develop and enhance cooperative interdepartmental relations and communications with other management teams and throughout the Company. Create and maintain policies and procedures document for department policies and procedures. Perform management responsibilities in accordance with company policies, including: Interview, select, train, coach, and counsel direct reports. Supervise and provide guidance and direction to Supervisors and staff members, through training, setting expectations, and regularly reviewing individual and department performance both formally and informally. Conduct employee performance evaluations. Occasional long, irregular hours. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years management experience. Proven leadership capability, including the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team. Demonstrated leadership skills. A good understanding of the insurance business and demonstrated understanding of a Customer Centric environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook Exchange; proficient with various web browsers. Maintains high level of open communication and morale within the team and department. Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing. Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Develop, implement and maintain metrics to assess productivity of department, intra-departmental teams, and individuals.
