Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human services, education, related field, or equivalent work experience working with children/families; supervisory experience would be beneficial; and valid Florida driver's license with safe driving record is required.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics of children and adolescents with mental health issues, their families, and family systems. Highly motivated, organized, self-directed, with leadership skills.
Essential Functions:
- Manages daily operations of the Family Connections program that serves as a lower level of care prior to CAT program admission.
- Provides supervision and consultation to assigned staff which includes therapists, mentors and case managers. Completes annual and new employee performance evaluations.
- Performs administrative tasks including completing performance appraisals of CAT team staff, approving timesheets and overseeing staff development compliance.
- Consults with the school system, community agencies and families to maintain coordination of the treatment process. Advocates for child and family's rights and needs.
- Manages referrals which includes screening and assignment of clients, as well as attending community meetings for networking purposes.
- Ensures timely collection of performance outcome data and reports data to Clinical Manager. Explores with team ways to improve outcomes.
- Maintains quality assurance standards by preparing for chart audits, compiling and reporting peer chart reviews and overseeing the collection of client satisfaction surveys. Provide on-going feedback to Clinical Manager.
- Organizes and conducts treatment team meetings and provides clinical guidance/resources to staff on an ongoing basis. Provides on-call crisis intervention services during nighttime and weekend hours as needed. Coordinates schedule for on-call coverage and provides backup to on-call staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Program Manager.
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Services are conducted primarily in the community, spends time in outpatient behavioral health settings and operates in a professional office environment; can be exposed to various health conditions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to observe treatment environments and to use speech and hearing to interact with others in person, via telephone, using computer technology and in writing. Reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel: This is a full time, salary position. Routine days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Some evening and on-call hours may be required to meet client needs.
