Job Description:
Summary
Provides group and individual counseling, community support, case management and crisis intervention services to promote personal growth in the form of emotional, cognitive, behavioral and/or psychological changes in clients with a primary mental health diagnosis. Includes performing continuing assessment of the client’s needs and functioning, maintenance of appropriate documentation and development and implementation of treatment plans consistent with the client’s therapeutic needs. Required to use independent discretion and judgment when providing services to clients.
Qualifications
Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other human service related field
Experience providing counseling services with children preferred
Masters Level SAS staff must have certification or licensure within the required time frame mandated by SUPR Staff Qualifications (or within 2 years of hire, whichever comes first)
