What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service l Nutrition position at CentraCare?
Join the CentraCare Monticello Hospital and Care Center Food Service Team. Find your purpose providing nourishment to patients and residents, and fuel to those who care for them. To qualify for this job, we’re not so much worried about your education and experience, though prior food service or customer service experience is helpful.
Here are some of the basic job duties:
- Assist in preparation of meals, set up of trays, assembly area, or resident dining rooms
- Ensure food items are properly portioned and arranged on trays or at tables
- Accurately read menu and place correct items on tray before serving to a patient or resident
- Collect and remove trash to designated containers keeping work areas clean
- Collect assigned trays or clean dining rooms following safety and sanitation standards
- Accurately document intake and output
- Operate cash register and wait on customers as needed
- Work with co-workers to get dishes washed and food carts cleaned within deadlines.
- Demonstrate skill and good judgment when using dish machine, disposal, food carts, and other equipment.
- Clean work area upon completion of each task.
Variety of Schedules:
- 55 hours every 2 weeks, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., variable days of the week, every other weekend 3:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and rotating holidays
- 71 hours every 2 weeks, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., variable days of the week, every other weekend 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and rotating holiday
Pay:
- Entry level pay $15.25 per hour, however, we pay more for experience
