Lab Assistant/CMA or Phlebotomist | Rice Memorial Hospital

48 hours every 2 weeks | Rotating shifts.


Primary responsibilities include venous and capillary blood collection, throat and nasopharyngeal specimen collection, electrocardiograms (resting & 24 hour), pulmonary function testing, and associated documentation and billing. May also serve in department reception capacity. Performs specimen procurement following OSHA and organization guidelines and requirements.

EDUCATION: 

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required, verified within 30 Days


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Phlebotomy degree from an accredited Phlebotomy program is preferred.
     
  • Previous phlebotomy experience helpful.
     
  • Medical Assistance degree from an accredited MA program
