JOB SUMMARY:
Performs registration duties requiring independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to work performed. Responsible for obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
Location: CentraCare Northway Building, Family Health Center
Schedule: Full-time | 80 Hours Every Two Weeks | Monday- Friday | 7:00a.m.- 5:00p.m. | 8-hour shifts
What you will do:
- Registering and admitting patients.
- Direct patient interaction
- Scheduling appointments
- Transmit information to other departments
- Patient insurance verification
- Process documents of a complex nature checking for accuracy and completeness
- Responsible for obtaining information necessary to produce billable patient accounts
- Support and implement patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
- Apply detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed

What you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One to two year post high school training in clerical, secretarial or business area preferred
- One-year prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience in healthcare facility preferred.
- Customer services skills are essential
- Good verbal and written communications skills required
- Ability to exercise judgement and independent analysis
