Description
The SBA Loan Servicing Specialist shall support the Credit and Loan Operations Departments with a variety of tasks to ensure government-guaranteed loans are serviced prudently according to Bank and/or government loan operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
Service SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and USDA loans in accordance with bank policies and SBA Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and/or USDA guidelines.
Order appraisals, environmental reports, and credit reports for annual reviews in compliance with SBA, USDA, and/or bank lending policies.
Support loan origination and closing activities.
Provide ongoing support to the GGL loan portfolio including servicing actions, periodic credit reviews, compliance review, and ad hoc reporting.
Assist with audits and workout loans.
Stay up-to-date on SBA and USDA policies, underwriting guidelines, and applicable training.
Comply with all internal bank training.
Any and all other duties requested by Management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required – Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
3+ years direct SBA servicing and/or portfolio management experience.
In-depth knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) 50 57 2.
Working knowledge of SBA One and SBA E-Tran.
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and limited direction.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, writing, and decision-making skills.
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years direct experience servicing SBA loans.
Ability to underwrite SBA and USDA loans for annual reviews is highly desirable.
Direct experience with USDA government-guaranteed loan programs.
Knowledge of commercial collateral perfection in the State of Florida.
