Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities:
1. Resident Care: Provide personalized care and assistance to residents, including help with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and using the restroom.
2. Vital Sign Monitoring: Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiratory rate, as directed by nursing staff.
3. Charting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of residents' care activities, observations, and any changes in condition. Document information in residents' electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems.
4. Mobility Support: Assist residents with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and well-being. Use appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent injuries.
5. Feeding Assistance: Help residents with eating, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hydration according to their individual care plans.
6. Comfort and Emotional Support: Interact with residents in a compassionate and empathetic manner, providing emotional support and attending to their social needs.
7. Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care and address any concerns.
8. Rehabilitation Support: Collaborate with therapy teams to assist residents in rehabilitation exercises and activities as prescribed by therapists.
9. Infection Control: Follow established infection control protocols to maintain a clean and hygienic environment and prevent the spread of infections.
10. Safety Measures: Comply with safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the well-being of residents, staff, and visitors.
11. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, follow emergency protocols, and seek assistance as needed.

Requirements:
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong desire to care for the elderly or individuals with special needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from licensed nursing staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
