Job Description:

Ensure prescriptions are accurately filled by conducting Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, in accordance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Drive business growth and script volume by promoting clinical programs such as immunization and, when available, MTM (Medication Therapy Management) and DCS (Diabetes Care Specialist), while also overseeing other identified programs.
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing medical inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
Supervise support staff during shifts and provide training, coaching, and management as necessary.
Maintain pharmacy security and adhere to HIPAA and other relevant federal and state regulations.
Resolve customer concerns promptly to foster trust and loyalty.
Collaborate with physicians, utilizing reference materials to resolve prescription and customer-related issues.
Prioritize tasks within the Pharmacy Department, including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer notifications, to ensure timely completion.

Requirements and skills:

Proven experience as a pharmacist
Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc.
Knowledge of MS Office and Pharmacy information systems (eg. MediTech, Mediware etc.)
Good organizing skills
Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach
Integrity and compassion
Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology
Valid license to practice the profession
