Now Hiring: Clinical Research Manager
Job Type: Full-Time (Mon-Fri, 8am – 5pm)
Compensation: $80k - $100k annually (DOE)

Our Physicians are board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. We are affiliated with the finest hospitals throughout Central Florida, and we are on call 24-hours a day to handle emergencies.
Job Summary:Reporting directly to the President and Practice Administrator, the Clinical Research Manager oversees all clinical protocols related to Pulmonary Medicine and manages operations, including administrative and budget functions, for a clinical research initiative and clinical research programs. What You’ll Do:· Coordinate, manage, and oversee all clinical protocols related to Pulmonary Medicine.· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national regulations.· Conduct medical history assessments and determine eligibility for clinical study participation.· Prepare and submit human subject documents to Institutional Review Boards.· Oversee and prepare for external quality assurances and site visits in coordination with sponsors and Institutional Review Boards. · Manage financial aspects of study projects, monitor study accounts and expenditures of funds for compliance with sponsor regulations by working closely with CFO.· Effectively communicate with patients in the Emergency Department, hospital and out-patient clinical settings and be available to take call hours for acute trials coverage.· Assist in supervising Clinical Research Coordinators and regularly communicate performance expectations and guidelines.· Work with and advise Clinical Research Coordinators to identify the appropriate patients for trial studies based on the individual's experience, knowledge, etc· Aid in the management of regulatory documentation· Assess clinical trial projects to appropriately scope resourcing needs on a per-project basis.· Gauge virtual site risks and aid in providing mitigation strategies for complex problems.· Aid in the development, oversee, and optimize the Clinical Research Coordinator hiring and onboarding processes.· Participate in required training and education programs.· Train, supervise, and assign responsibilities to individual personnel and students who are involved in research projects in the department.· Manage education of personnel and vendors regarding clinical research, as necessary.· Conduct performance reviews, calibration sessions, and feedback discussions.· Perform competency assessments, implement, and monitor development plans with direct reports.
What You’ll Need:
- 10-years clinical supervisory/management experience in health care related field, OR a bachelor’s degree in related area plus 5-years of related experience/training
- Degree as a Registered Nurse, licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Licensing Authority
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- 3-years of management, preferably in a clinic setting
- HIPAA and OSHA knowledge
- EMR proficient / Greenway Prime Suite – a plus
- Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills
- Leadership experience in execution of clinical trials – from planning to completion phase
- Highly desirable CRO experience: managing CRO teams from sponsor side and/or CRO side; interaction with investigator sites; active monitoring study conduct.
- Strong project planning and management skills to ensure goals to be met under tight timelines, as well as an ability to contribute creative and practical solutions to problems; must have a “can-do” spirit.
- Superior writing skills and ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
- Strong Computer, scientific, and organization skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to unexpected events and crises.
- Experience in recognizing adverse events and reporting.
