Web Services Specialist

Overview

The web services specialist is a member of the Communications Department reporting to the Senior Communications Manager. Their primary responsibility will be the maintenance of all Central Health web properties, implementing SEO, SEM, and user experience best practices. The role also requires management of the contract with Central Health's web services provider and collaboration with staff and partners.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and updating all Central Health public-facing websites (WordPress), as well as the Enterprise SharePoint Intranet.
• Develop and implement new features and functions in accordance with user experience best practices and work with the Creative Services Specialist to ensure design elements developed and implemented.
• Ensure mobile access and functionality is managed, monitored and optimized.
• Partner with key content owners within the Central Health Enterprise to ensure the organization's websites are user friendly and all content is current, complete, accurate, and supports the organization's goals and strategies.
• Monitor and analyze website analytics to inform and guide development of the public-facing site.
• Develop, implement, and manage SEO and SEM strategies for public websites to improve website traffic.
• Plan and manage user testing, analyze results, and implement updates/upgrades based on findings.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and manage content and features of the SharePoint intranet.
• Maintain all applicable standards, including brand identity, ADA accessibility, HIPAA, and cybersecurity.
• Ensure the website complies with the appropriate laws and regulations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise with the website and intranet in partnership with third-party contracted web services provider and Central Health Enterprise Joint Technology Team.
• Manage third-party web services contractor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Communications adjacent field (Required)

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: • 3 year of experience full-time or freelance/contract experience in website management, including technical development, SEO/SEM strategy and management, and content strategy. (Required)
