Selected individual will be responsible for the programming and management of the Retired and Senior Volunteer (RSVP) and Senior Companion Programs. Responsibilities and duties will include but not limited to the following: Work cooperatively with Corporation for National & Community Service in program planning and implementation. Perform assigned duties relating to Senior Service Corps Programming. Select, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff to maintain operations. Establish goals and objectives to create vision and provide leadership. Effectively promote and increase community awareness for the programs. Develop and maintain funding sources for both programs. Prepare quarterly/annual program reports. Communicate and develop positive public relations and provide information to interested parties. Establish guidelines for volunteer placements. Develop new volunteer stations to meet community needs. Prepare annual program budgets to maintain fiscal control. Maintain accurate supervisory records which meet requirements. Other duties as deemed necessary. Qualifications: Experience working with older people, volunteers, and public officials. Experience in community mobilization and/or a social service field. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Works well with individuals of all cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. Strong administrative and management skills. Proficient computer literacy. Reliable transportation required. Criminal check and pre-employment screenings are required
