Title: Adjunct Heating Instructor for Summer Semester 2024


Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:

Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Adjunct Faculty Unit.

Responsibilities:

Central Maine Community College seeks an adjunct faculty to teach Propane and Natural Gas I and or Heating I. The instructor will deliver and use a learning management system. The adjunct instructor will also develop and deliver on site labs in the Plumbing and HVAC/R Lab as required. This summer class is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Auburn campus. Each section of these courses lasts for 6 weeks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Propane and Natural Gas Technicians license and or a Master Oil Burnerman’s license #1&2 oil up to 15 gallon per hour.
  • At least five years’ experience in designing/installing residential and or commercial equipment.
  • This person should possess enthusiasm and passion for student learning and be able to respond to the needs of students using a variety of teaching methods
