JOB TITLE: Fund Development Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Advocacy and Network Development

JOB SUMMARY: The Fund Development Coordinator is a detail-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills. The Coordinator will develop and implement a strategic approach to fundraising that will include annual fund activities, major gifts, solicitation of in-kind resources, and grant writing. The Fund Development Coordinator will work with agency leaders to research grants for Aging Best, write proposals, oversee implementation and required reports and serve as a resource for local board fund raising efforts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Research and identify potential donors.
· Write proposals requesting funds from individual, corporate and foundation prospects.
· Develop and maintain a database of donors and prospects.
· Work with administrative and fiscal staff to ensure foundation gifts are logged accurately.
· Develop and manage timelines for fundraising activities to ensure plans and critical fundraising processes are carried out in a strategic and timely manner.
· Oversee the planning and execution of special fundraising events.
· Identify and solicit corporate, community, and individual prospects in support of Aging Best’s fundraising activities.
· Oversee and maintain fund raising data base for local center fundraising resources.
· Advise local center boards on best practices and serve as a fund-raising support resource.
· Develop and maintain an Aging Best legacy giving program.
· Meet annual fundraising goal.
· Perform additional related duties as assigned. Attend meetings and training activities as directed by supervisor.
· Observes and adheres to funding source and agency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in conduct of work activities, including EO policies and handles confidential information with tact and discretion in compliance with applicable HIPAA and privacy regulations and requirements.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with writing public relations and marketing materials for fundraising.
· Work with marketing team for social media and print media campaigns.
· Work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
PRE-REQUISITES:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Experience: Two years related experience, such as non-profit fundraising, grant writing,
Physical: Reliable and predictable attendance is expected and needed for this job. Moderate physical activity is required. Requires ability to be mobile and operate a motor vehicle. Subject to repetitive motions such as typing. Requires extensive communication skills and the ability to be understood by others.
Travel: Requires moderate amounts of travel within the region and occasional travel outside the region. Must have current motor vehicle operator’s license, proof of automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
Legal: Aging Best conducts criminal background records check, a motor vehicle driving record check, sexual predator’s list check, and Missouri Employee Disqualification List check as a condition of employment.
