As a Corporate Actuarial Manager, you'll be empowered to use your actuarial expertise blended with leadership skills to oversee loss reserving and other corporate reporting analyses in support of Central's employees, growth, and financial goals. You can make a meaningful impact within our company and help shape our future.  How You’ll Make an Impact Supports the overall management of Corporate Actuarial Reserving Team by driving the strategy and success of projects Oversees the preparation of loss reserve analyses for assigned portfolio segments, selections, justification for selections/assumptions, corresponding data/model preparations, and insights on trends, shifts in mix, and other driving forces behind loss development Supports thorough, accurate, and timely loss reserve studies, development of opinion perform yearend reconciliations, etc. Drives Reserve Committee initiatives including: building presentations, quarterly loss and loss adjustment expense selections, reporting to the reserve committee, etc. Assist with the delivery of key reports to inform corporate strategic decisions Ensures that the result of the team’s work products are appropriately communicated externally as needed Monitors correspondence of the Actuarial Department as a whole to evaluate potential impact and to verify consistency of related actuarial work products Works with leadership and other stakeholders to prioritize work requests as needed Leverages tools and resources to provide industry and peer analysis Direct the work activities and have full management responsibility for the performance and development of subordinate staff in accordance with corporate strategic direction Develops analysis and presentation materials to provide structure during discussions in various meetings (such as: Corporate Review, Board Meetings, etc.) Support cross-functional teams to meet operational objectives Proactively perpetuates the culture Coaches/develops/pushes team to get better Effectively evaluates performance of the team and individuals on the team Works appropriately across departments and across offices to accomplish corporate objectives and priorities Manages resources appropriately – staffing, workloads, budget Directs the implementation of process improvements for automation to enhance speed and accuracy  What You’ll Bring  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field and 4 years of related experience (or 6 years of related experience) ACAS Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills Preferred Strong PC skills, particularly with Microsoft products. Database knowledge and strong experience with SQL programming language (or other languages such as Python, R, SAS, VBA) FCAS
