Position Function:
This position serves as an integral member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, which oversees Company-wide budgeting, forecasting and profitability reporting. This position is also responsible for producing reports for the Board, Managing Committee and Asset/Liability Management Committee that drive strategic decision making.

Primary Accountabilities:
Budget Reporting:
Participate in the annual budgeting process. Meet with line-of-business (LOB) managers and support managers to assist them in completing their budgets. Prepare reports that summarize and analyze budget drafts for reasonableness. Suggest income generation and expense reduction initiatives.
Comparison of monthly/quarterly budget to actual and/or prior year end balances for ALCO, Board and management reporting with detailed variance analysis.
Prepare forecasts of loans and deposits by type and by LOB to assist LOB managers in meeting/exceeding their budgets.
Meet with line-of-business managers and support mangers to ensure they understand their budgets and their budget variances.
Profitability Reporting:
Develop and maintain effective LOB, customer and product profitability systems that can be used by management as a decision tool.
Proactively interface with all levels of management to ensure they understand profitability allocations and assumptions.
Analyze and recommend changes to allocations and assumptions when necessary.
Management Reporting:
Design and produce ad-hoc and custom reports to meet management needs and to assist management in making strategic business decisions.
Develop and produce tracking reports for strategic and capital projects. Reports on project progress quarterly at managing committee meetings.
Financial Leadership:
Assist line-of-business managers to understand budget variances and profitability to ensure the meaningfulness of measures and the accuracy of results.
Assist managers with the analysis of results to improve department performance and gather forecast data to compile end of year projections.
Continuous Improvement:
Evaluates and recommends strategies to improve efficiency through increased revenue and/or decreased expense.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year university in Finance or Accounting required
Experience:
6 years of financial/budget analysis and reporting experience required
Experience and knowledge of Cognos Business Intelligence report development preferred
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
