Because of recent growth, we are looking for an Overhead Crane Service Manager with 2-5 years of hands-on experience with strong customer focus and the desire to go the extra mile for the customer. As the Overhead Crane Service Manager, your duties will include:

  • Be part of the development and execution of the company growth strategies
  • Make sure all Technician jobs have been gone over and all needed equipment and parts are accounted for.
  • Develop schedules and dispatch Service Technicians through CSCH service software platform.
  • Verify each Technician has a job # assigned & dispatched to them for each job or service call they are going on.
  • Provide technical assistance & on the job support as needed.
  • Provide managerial support to the Technician workforce.
  • Spot check jobs in the field to confirm they are being completed to the highest standards.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
  • Interface with site maintenance/engineering personnel regarding equipment condition.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.

You are a great fit for our team if you have and able to:

  • A strong background in AC and DC electromechanical and solid-state motor control systems.
  • Experience in 3 phase power, control voltage, radio controls, and VFDs.
  • 10 Years of prior industrial electric motor and control experience is required.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. (Able to troubleshoot without prints on occasion.)
  • Some mechanical ability to work with gear reducers and drive systems.
  • Ability to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.
  • Basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and work toward a solution.
  • OSHA Hoist and Crane inspection training.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Demonstrate great customer service
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • A commitment to working and driving safely at all times.
  • Ability to work overtime as required by customers, “on call” as part of our 24-hour customer service call program and able to travel and work out of town on occasion.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. although not on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis. This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching. This position requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. This position will be inside approximately 90% of the time and outside approximately 10% of the time. This position will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights.
