Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Project Specialist

Camp Hill, PA

The Center for Schools & Communities (CSC), a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidates for Center for Schools and Communities Project Specialist.

This position will collaborate with program staff in the development, implementation and operation of the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (SEBT)/SUN Bucks program at CSC, and in accordance with the program deliverables established with the Pennsylvania Departments of Education (PDE) and Human Services (DHS). CSC’s main deliverables for the program include technical assistance, resource development, training, data collection/analysis and research. The Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program Specialist will work alongside program staff, State agency staff and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to successfully implement the program and gather school data necessary for DHS to provision the Summer EBT benefit to Pennsylvania students and their families.

Note: This position is funded through June 30, 2025, with the potential of four (4) additional one-year options

Salary: $47,900 -54,500 dependent on qualifications. This is an exempt position working a 260 day per year, 12-month work schedule. This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) work schedule which may allow for the opportunity to follow a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in-office work at the Center for Schools and Communities office located in Camp Hill, PA location and two (2) days telework from home and/or approved off-site locations. In addition, face-to-face interaction with clients, meetings and trainings may be required on days deemed as teleworking days. Certain requirements, based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations, must be met. The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

· Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree in information sciences, computer applications/database technology, business, health sciences, or a related area of study and a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a related field or an Associate’s degree and minimum eight (8) years related paid work experience or a High School Diploma/equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) and minimum of 13 years related paid work experience.

· Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry, email and experience managing file sharing with Google Drive.

· Adept at using virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

· Knowledge of interworking and functions of databases, including excellent skill in use of databases.

· Experience in program planning, development, cross systems coordination and collaboration.

· Experience in developing and conducting trainings and group facilitation/training skills.

· Excellent research skills, utilizing the internet as well as print and other sources. Understanding of program evaluation methodologies.

· Understanding of group dynamics and its impact on organizational change.

· Excellent verbal skills, including public speaking experience.

· Excellent writing skills, including experience in writing for web newsletters and correspondence.

· Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize the task based on project deadlines. And must be able to type accurately and maintain a high level of productivity.

· Ability to work independently and willingness to be a team player.

· Ability to complete complex projects in an efficient and effective manner.

· Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients both internal and external.
