Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
Must be available to transport and stay with clients while attending offsite programs Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm-8pm.
JOB SUMMARY: The Residential Technician is responsible for the daily oversight of the unit to include monitoring of clients, guests, facility grounds, medication delivery to the clients, care of the unit and professional communication, ensuring a safe environment for the clients, and coworkers at all times. The Residential Technician will maintain a professional, and open line of communication with their coworkers, supervisors and clients when handling necessary daily tasks, concerns, incident’s, and grievances.
The Position:
The Residential Technician is to assist and supervise the residents/clients during treatment.
Job Tasks include:
- Be observant of changes in residents'/clients' functioning, informing clinical staff of observed changes and working with the clinical team to assist clients' progress in relapse prevention and coping skills. Synthesizes assessment information so that clearly stated, prioritized problems can be addressed by available services and resources.
- Collaborate with residents/clients in their development of relapse prevention skills, which include cleaning, personal hygiene, community integration, and behavioral management. Increasing relapse prevention and coping skills promotes self-reliance.
- Monitor facility for maintenance issues. Notifying Lead Specialists or Supervisor of identified problems with the facility. Prompt notification ensures a safe environment for all residents and staff.
- Monitor and document resident/client self-administration of their medications. Monitoring results in improved adherence, symptom management and/or side-effect management.
- Complete daily shift reports. In-depth documentation promotes cohesiveness with other residential staff as well as clinical staff.
- Responsible for the ongoing janitorial duties of the office, staff bathroom, and storage areas. Cleanliness ensures healthy learning environment.
- Engage and support residents/clients as they deal with issues such as illness management, problem solving and goal attainment. Establishment of positive rapport encourages clients to progress towards self-sufficiency.
- Work to ensure the physical safety of all residents/clients by scheduling and coordinating monthly fire drills, and by being awake and available to residents/clients throughout all scheduled shifts. Client safety priority and promotes awareness of independent safety needs.

Pay: $14.93 - $17.57 per hour
