Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Accounting and Finance plays a critical role in driving financial health and discipline of the enterprise, responsible for leadership of the Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis teams. The VP of Accounting & Finance will interact collaboratively with internal leaders and externally with lenders, investors, prospective investors and other third parties, with a primary focus on meeting financial and business goals.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis completed in timely manner, including but not limited too monthly close and reporting, monthly KPIs and trend analysis, forecasting and budgeting, audits and tax compliance and long range planning
  • Ensure the leadership team receives timely performance reports, metrics and analysis towards meeting growth and financial budgets
  • Lead and mentor the Finance and Accounting team to ensure compliance and excellence in day-to-day execution as well as planning and preparing for future growth
  • Ensure accounting practices and reporting follow GAAP
  • Provide modeling (forecasting and analysis) to facilitate leadership team’s understanding the impact of implementing growth strategies, new product offerings and other operational maneuvers may have to the organization and its financial performance and overall health
  • Assist executive team with managing and servicing Customer and Investor relationships and serve as primary point contact and relationship manager for financial institutions, outside accountants and tax firms, and other outside parties as may be assigned. Provide deliverables within a set timeline and work collaboratively managing the demands of various external stakeholders
  • Ensure timely compliance with third party covenants and reporting requirements
  • Design, implement, test and ensure proper cash and other internal controls and processes are in place and consistently functioning as designed
  • Champion continuous improvement and implementation of best practices for processes, policies, and procedures
  • Support ad hoc financial reporting presentation for external third parties (i.e., lenders, investors)
  • Protect the company by ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations and strengthening, monitoring, and enforcing a strong internal controls environment and appropriate financial reporting processes
  • Proactively manage risks through strong collaboration with other business units, senior/executive leadership, and drive capability improvement accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience
  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced growth environment in an evolving new industry segment of Healthcare
  • Innovative, self-starter able to digest, implement and track complicated financial arrangements and provide insightful information to executive leadership
  • Business understanding of the transition in healthcare from fee-for-service to Value -Based Care reimbursement coupled with traditional financial/budget management, data analysis and decision-making.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and relationship building skills with an ability to coach and mentor all levels of teammates; Proven ability to develop a high performing team and manage develop leaders.
  • Demonstrated track record of performance and timely delivery of intended results
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Problem-solving skills including skills such as research, reasoning, analysis, and decision making.
  • Excellent project management skills including organization, meeting deadlines and the ability to multitask
  • Maintains a high-energy level with a tempered keen sense of urgency
  • Ability to implement and execute successful business transformation and lead through purposeful change
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft365, business intelligence software, accounting software (Oracle experience a plus)
  • Understanding of and ability to maintain compliance with HIPAA
  • Professional presence

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position may also work in a remote/telecommuting environment

Travel:

20% travel may be required.
