The Pre-Sales team is responsible for providing technical solutions to new & existing corporate customer on the Centric product portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced industry professional with strong business process and also technical skills to join and add value to a dedicated team.
Responsible for actively driving and managing the Pre-Sales process with prospects and/or customers the Pre-Sales Consultant must be able to articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users.
Primarily engaged in a Pre-Sales consultancy role, the consultant will provide assistance and guidance during the Pre-Sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements, prior to designing a solution, consulting with technical teams about capabilities, and supporting business sales teams, account managers and marketing on proposal activities. Furthermore, the Pre-Sales Consultant could also engage in project delivery, foremost when it’s related to a new industry/region.
This position focused on the Food & Beverage Industry will report to the Client Services Director.
Responsibilities
- Assist Sales Team in qualifying prospects
- Attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collected prior to producing a solution demo
- Provide functional/technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
- Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
- Be capable of articulate a good story to embed the technical/functional presentation following the principles of innovation, inspiration, and enthusiasm
- Responsible for in-depth, broad-based pre-sales presentations of the entire Centric PLM Solution suite.
- Configure Centric Software solutions to well fit these needs through product presentations and supporting materials.
- Produce written specifications (i.e., Solution Scope Documents and Use Case Documents) highlighting product features and benefits/value-add to customers to capture business process requirements for proposed solutions.
- Prepare response documentation for RFI/RFP requests.
- Analyze requirements and design solutions to complex customer requirements and its pain points.
- Ensure clear understanding of customer’s technology requirements; provide support for Proposal and Project teams, provide technical leadership and vision to win and deliver large-scale, complex solutions.
- Be knowledgeable and live the Centric Methodology
- Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to internal stakeholders
- Create internal design configuration documentation (e.g., process frameworks)
- Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
- Builds productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
- Perform technical configuration for bespoke solutions as part of customized demos or POCs
- Able to understand business drivers and risks involved to the customer and to Centric
- Sell Centric solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Provide accurate and timely management information, including activity reports, offer reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Standards and Code of Conduct
- To structure and produce compelling sales proposals/commercial and functional/technical documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits to clients of using Centric’s solutions
- Preparing the SOW prior to contract signature
- To assume responsibility for handover from Pre-Sales to professional services to ensure smooth transition from Sales to Delivery
- Ability to demonstrate Centric Solutions and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge
Skills
- In depth knowledge about the Food & Beverage and/or Global Product Sourcing industries and processes
- Working knowledge of current issues and technologies concerning the PLM industry, together with a demonstrable interest in keeping abreast with technical developments in this field
- Previous experience of requirements gathering design and solution building and the ability to replicate this in a commercial setting
- Able to show and discuss a range of previous customer solution designs
- Ability to develop effective working relationships internally at a variety of levels and work closely with commercial departments such as sales, operations, and product development
- Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
- Ability to cope under pressure and prioritize work accordingly
- Willingness to travel through sales territory
- Project management experience is a plus
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a Computing related discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, other Engineering disciplines etc. or Degree in food science or consumer packaged goods related field
- System modelling skills
- Ability to communicate fluently with both technical and business audiences both verbally and in writing in Italian and English
- Proven presentation and communication skills
- Project management certifications and/or experience is a plus
- Knowledge in JIRA/Confluence (or similar tools)
- 5-10 years experience working for a software vendor, ideally on the field of PLM, but areas like ERP, SCM, Enterprise Planning in the CPG/FMCG and/or F&B industries apply as well or
- 5-10 years experience working on the customer side in the CPG/FMCG and/or F&B industries
