Centura Wealth Advisory, a dynamic, registered investment advisory (RIA) firm serving both high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals/families, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position.
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial services industry, excellent leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset.
What You will Do:
Strategic Planning and Business Development:
- Partner with senior management to develop long-term strategic plans and initiatives.
- Evaluate and structure potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships to support business growth.
- Participate in the strategic recruitment of potential advisor acquisitions, mergers, and/or tuck-ins.
- Provide financial analysis and due diligence support for strategic initiatives.
Private Market Real Estate Investments:
- Determine Centura Wealth Advisorys real estate investment philosophy
- Develop real estate investment strategies, based on data driven analysis and thorough research of market fundamentals and trends, that meet identified investment objectives (risk/return profile, yield, tax, etc.)
- Source and drive the execution of private market real estate investment opportunities, primarily through identifying and establishing investment vehicles with qualified real estate investment managers
- Conduct due diligence on selected investment managers and operators, drafting investment memorandum and presenting findings and recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Screen and evaluate new real estate investment opportunities and make recommendations to the Investment Committee
Portfolio Management
- Investment monitoring and benchmarking performance
- Investment and portfolio analytics
- Risk mitigation (on-going manager communication, market research and analysis, liquidity and monetization strategies)
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the finance function.
- Identify talent needs, recruit top talent, and promote professional development opportunities.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory inquiries and examinations.
Executive oversight and strategic direction:

What We Look for:
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of investment management, wealth management, and financial planning concepts.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software, and ERP systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
