What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Aide position at Century HCC?
Meadow View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is currently looking for a Full-Time Activities Aide and requires the ability to assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the activity program under the supervision of the Activities Director.
Essential Job Functions for the Activities Aide
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the activities program.
- Meet with the Activities Director for planning activities.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments within the facility and network with outside community agencies.
- Assist in the development of, and participation in, regularly scheduled in-service training programs.
- Assist in the arrangement and escort of residents with field trips whenever necessary
- Assist in the recording and maintaining records of resident’s participation in activities
- Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent resident care information to assure residents rights are protected.
- Assist with the maintenance of the Volunteer Program.
- Report any changes in the resident’s condition immediately to the Nursing Department.
- Reports all incidents/accidents immediately.
- Assist in the scheduling of outside activities and groups for the residents.
- Recommend to the Activities Director the equipment and supply needs of the department.
- Distribute mail/periodicals to residents.
- Assist in assessing resident upon admission and chart resident’s progress.
- Prepare and post the Reality Orientation Board regularly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Shift & Wage:
- 9a-5p , and every other weekend.

Physical Demands:
This position requires a variety of activity levels including frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, occasional sitting, rarely crawling, and climbing. The employee may be required to frequently lift items up to 50 lbs.
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience is a plus
