What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Manager position at Cepeda?
Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Data Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop Integrated Data Management Plans, executing critical path data handling required for test analysis, coordinating data requirements, fostering relationships with the data community, developing presentations, leading data coordination activities, and tracking data requests and deliveries.
- Utilize custom-developed data management software and the Microsoft Office Product Suite to accomplish the data management function.
- Perform in a team environment and perform well against aggressive time schedules that support quick turnaround data processing operations.
- Provide document scanning (unclassified and classified).
- Perform media logging and labeling for all media formats.
- Prepares media for destruction using correct procedures.
- Develop unclassified and classified CDs holding migrated data.
- Conduct migration of 7, 9, 14 track tapes (unclassified and classified).
- Conduct multiple media migration using correct procedures and processes (unclassified and classified).
- Determines priorities, perform local backups, and load scanned documents to mass storage system.
- Responsible for understanding and conducting video processing and migrating older formats to newer formats (DVD).
- Researches and understands multiple media formats and migration processes and develop migration processes if required.
- Documents and maintains trusted download procedures and information as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- US Citizenship required
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years of experience
- Experience handling of classified data on various media types
- Experience working in a schedule-driven team environment
