In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and develop a team of Scientists and Engineers within the Product Improvement team
- Responsible for training associates on qualification processes, failure analyses and lab techniques
- Initiate/lead systemic process improvements as an outcome of failure investigations or EOL projects
- Design test plans, implement experiments, and analyze complex data as part of new product/process introduction
- Support various sustaining projects by providing technical recommendations, performing failure analysis, and reviewing associated qualification documentation
- Education or Experience (in years):
- Bachelor’s degree and 9 demonstrated experience or
- Master's degree and 7 demonstrated experience
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Expertise in data analysis of large dataset, physical inspection, design of experiments, root cause analysis techniques and documentation
- Experience with statistical analysis and data management for large volume sophisticated data sets
- Experience with MiniTab analysis software or other relevant
- Expertise in all aspects of the fully integrated molecular diagnostics products (plastic consumables, injection molding, microfluidics, sample preparation and PCR)Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement
- Experience with molecular biology products or molecular diagnostic product applying nucleic acid amplification tests (Ex: PCR, RT-PCT etc.) including system level relationship between reagents, consumable, and instrument components
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or within manufacturing operations under cGMP, ISO and FDA regulations.
- Experience in clean room or biosafety environment with controlled gowning procedures
