Duration of Role: Three Years Plus
Pay: $48.83 - $52.31/Hour
Hours: This will end up being a 3rd shift position once the employee is trained.
We are in the process of training the new production crew on 1st shift and will start splitting the shifts apart in a couple weeks. Sometime Jan we would have the crews split. At that point the shift time could be 6:30pm – 5am if they are running 10 hours. Normal shift time would be 8:30pm – 5am.
OT is anticipated per week -the line is running 10-12 hours a day and weekends. We usually rotate but must have coverage during production hours. Estimated an average of 10 hours per week but it will likely vary between 0 and 20.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
- Provides support and trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.
- Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
- Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations.
- Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the
- Deere Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts.
- Improves material flow and material presentation.
- Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
- Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing
- processes and technology.
- Analyzes and makes modifications to existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.
REQUIRED:
- Problem solving / trouble shooting skills
- Excellent communication skills for all levels of organization as this will be a direct line support person responsible for working with the production employees and communicating progress on projects to management.

Education Preferred:
- Engineering or Engineering Technology (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, etc.) or demonstrated experience as a manufacturing engineer.
