What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Contract Administration position at Cerner Corporation?

The Manager for the Contract Management Office (CMO) will be responsible for several aspects of Cerner’s client contracts. This person will manage a diverse team that is responsible for the overall Quote to Contract process. This team will consist of Quote Specialists, Contract Analysts and Contract Specialists. Their duties will include creating client quotes as well as the corresponding contracts, reviewing and processing all bookings and setting up the revenue and billing in the financial system. Each individual will manage the activity within their assigned regions. The Manager monitors and audits the activities of their team members, conducts sample audits for quality control purposes, and reviews the team’s activity and workload. Additional responsibilities include: Participating as a member of the CMO Leadership Team, and working with that leadership team in system reviews and process improvements; Serving as a backup for other leadership as well as an escalation point for important team issues; Assisting in the hiring process of all new team members; Developing training materials and coordinating training as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • 2 year of contract administration and/or contract management work experience
    • 6 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the job including:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Juris Doctorate; or related field; or equivalent, relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
Expectations
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
